4 value head study speedpaint

A Quick speed paint sticking to just 4 values. I think this is how you do it right? But it seems odd not being able to blend, but if you blend then it's going to be more than 4 values , so I guess the point is not to blend in a limited value study right?

Did a little blending on it for about 15 minutes to do another quick speedpaint.
